Warriors wallop Lake County 86-0, will take on South Suburban Cobras in Title Match
The Naperville Warriors’ hard work the past several weeks paid off Friday night against the Mercenaries of Lake County. The team was able to translate their training efforts to the pitch by compiling 14 tries, including a hat trick by senior winger Jayson Stewart. Superb efforts were also provided by senior captains Tiger Li and Teddy Deetjen, as well as scrum half Robert Laboy, lock Dylan Sereci, and sophomore Daniel Bukowski providing some second half flashes in the backline.
Naperville will take on the also undefeated South Suburban Cobras this Friday May 12th at Walker Country Estates Park in New Lenox, kickoff at 5:30p. Winner of Friday’s contest will be crowned conference champion, and likely receive top seed in the Rugby Illinois state playoffs. Hope to see you there!
