Naperville’s high school boys place in Olympic style rugby championship
The Warrior’s sevens team took fourth place at the 2017 state 7’s tournament at the Blaze Rugby Complex in Lemont last weekend. The squad began the day posting a 2-1 record in pool play with wins against Fenwick and Southside Irish Academy, earning them a birth in the championship cup bracket. The team drew a tough semifinal match-up against the Stallions and put up a valiant fight before conceding to the eventual tournament champions. Despite dropping their final match, the Warriors received podium honors in Olympic style rugby to closeout the 2017 season. Congrats to the boys!
